International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW) is an annual celebration during which UMD, spearheaded by the Office of International Affairs, plans events and activities to highlight the campus's support of international education.

IEW was first declared by the U.S. Department of State and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in 2000 as part of their effort to encourage policies and programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the U.S.
